We are a Baptist church, which means we are part of the Southend Area Baptist network, which is part of the Eastern Baptist Association, which is part of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, which is part of the European Baptist Federation, which is part of the Baptist World Alliance. We are part of a world wide community of Baptist Christians.

Baptists are like other Christians, but what makes them distinctive is a commitment to believers’ baptism, to each church being free to make decisions for itself, and to the separation of church and state.
